Print It Fast Online helped support the fight against breast cancer by sponsoring the Hats For Hope Eighth Annual Silent Auction. This year’s event, presented by University of Louisville’s Office of the President and the James Graham Brown Cancer Center, was held on April 14 at Louisville’s Mellwood Arts & Entertainment Center, and included approximately 200 new, designer and gently worn Derby hats as well as many other non-hat items.
All of the proceeds were donated to “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer,” the American Cancer Society’s premier breast cancer event helping people stay well, get well, find cures and fight back against breast cancer.
A new feature of this year’s event, the Pink Carpet Walk, was a big hit with those attending. Guests were able to have a photo taken in one-of-a-kind hats designed and donated by the local’s best – Wayne Esterle of In Bloom Again, Angie Schultz of Attitudes by Angie and Sheila Nobles of C.K. Nobles.
Hats for Hope Chairperson, Nadine Brewer said, “I am pleased to report that this year’s Hats for Hope, our 8th annual, was a success. Hats for Hope donated $63,500 to the American Cancer Society, bringing our 8-year total to $337,500.”
Print It Fast Online owner, John Brunck said, “We were happy to be one of the Hats for Hope 2011 sponsors and we’re looking forward to helping with next year’s event.”
